Graduation Procedures

About the Ceremony

Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony 

Commencement will be held the evening of Friday May 16, 2025 at 7:00 PM at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex. Graduate Check-In begins at 6pm at the South End Zone (end near the scoreboard).

Limited parking will be available at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex. Additional parking will be on the Butler Community College campus. Shuttles will transport from campus to the stadium starting at 5:30 p.m. The pick-up and drop-off location will be in front of the Hubbard Welcome Center.

Commencement exercises will be streamed live on the BCTV+ app or at www.butlercc.edu/bctvplus.

Information about changes to Commencement activities or schedules will be announced on the website at butlercc.edu, on Butler’s Facebook and Twitter pages, via a text message sent to all graduates through the GrizzlySafe app, and through emails to graduates using their preferred email address as indicated on their graduation application.

In the event of severe weather, the ceremony may be postponed until 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 17, 2025. A decision to postpone the Friday evening ceremony will be made by early afternoon on Friday May 16, 2025. If the severe weather threat continues Saturday morning, any decision to delay the start time or cancel the ceremony, will be made by early Saturday May 17th.

Cap and Gown Information

An email about how to pick up your cap and gown was sent to students in April. Caps and gowns are available for pick-up at the bookstores in Andover or El Dorado prior to Book Buy Back. You must have your registration email with you to pick up your cap and gown. If you have questions or have not received an email from registrar@butlercc.edu about picking up your cap & gown, please contact the Registrar office at 316.322.3123 or 316.323.6234.
